Physical Therapy- Hips and Pelvis
The pelvis is the central core of our musculoskeletal being. This lofty sentence means that when there are problems in the lumbopelvic region it can affect a phenomenal number of other body parts. Recent research is suggesting that there may even be a relationship between abnormal pelvic positioning and fibromyalgia! Keeping abreast of current findings in the literature and translating that into up-to-date treatment is part of what we do here at The Cantrell Center. Successes abound in the conservative treatment of pelvic problems. Much of it is contingent on the positioning of the pelvis and it's subsequent effect on the position of the lumbar spine and the femurs (upper leg bones).
