Physical Therapy- Knee

KneePhysical Therapists are known for rehabilitating post operative knees. If you have had surgery on your knee you have probably been to a PT for rehabilitation following your surgery. Many times, however, the patient may not need surgery. The non-surgical knee is, in fact, more common than the surgical knee. Chances are likely that you or someone you know is complaining of knee pain. This does not mean that surgery is a given. The Cantrell Center for Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine successfully treats a variety of knee diagnoses. This means avoiding surgery! After all, the doctor would not have suggested physical therapy if he wanted you to have surgery. We can help you decide if surgery is inevitable or avoidable.

Are you scheduled for lateral release surgery? If you are, then your doctor has probably already sent you for PT and your outcome was not good. A diagnosis of Chondromalacia Patella is the usual diagnosis associated with lateral release surgery. Before you have that surgery, you should know that there are new physical therapy techniques that are designed to treat the patient with Chondromalcia Patella. We urge you to explore these new techniques that are only offered here at The Cantrell Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine before you have that lateral release surgery. We have also added a list of other knee-related diagnoses that can be effectively treated with physical therapy.

This list is in no way conclusive, so you should definitely contact us if you don't see your particular diagnosis listed here
