There’s a lot to consider when choosing a facility that best meets your need.
1. We offer one-on-one treatment.
Here at the Cantrell Center, we believe that one-on-one care is very important. We want you to return to your normal life as quickly as possible, so we work with you, and only you.
2. We are open early and we close later.
We offer a variety of treatment times. We start seeing patients at 7:00a.m. to allow for you to get your therapy in before you go to work. We also have appointment times at 5:00p.m. We want to work with our patients and understand that you also have to work.
3. We are the only Postural Restoration Center in the state of Georgia.
Postural Restoration looks at the biomechanics of your body to identify the body’s asymmetries as it relates to function. We look at the patient for their biomechanical, respiratory, and neurological functional patterns and limitations, as all of these systems can be affected, or play a role in pain and functional ability.
4. We offer Aquatic Physical Therapy.
Here at the Cantrell Center we have a beautiful pool where we offer aquatic therapy to assist those that have a difficult time with a land based program. This can be a stand-alone therapy, transitional therapy, or it can serve as a launching pad to get you back to where you want to be. Exercise in an aquatic environment can help to improve balance, mobility, flexibility and strength in a buoyant environment that minimizes joint compression, improves circulation, and decreases pain.
5. We offer a Wellness Program.
We value the exercise program and momentum that you have gained during your therapy— and we want to make sure that you have all the tools that you need to continue on your journey to a functional, healthy lifestyle. We offer a wellness program, open not only to former patients, but to the general public as well, where you will be able to use all of our equipment. As a member of the Cantrell Wellness Center, you will have access to Exercise Physiologists to make sure that you continue to progress your exercises in a safe manner. You can choose to have an Aquatic membership, Land Membership, or a combination of Aquatic and Land membership.
The Cantrell Center is dedicated to helping you recover from pain and injury, as well as helping you keep moving, thereby maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle. Stop in and check us out. If you are choosing a Physical Therapy Clinic, please consider us, and trust that you will be in great hands.
About the Author
Jessica Jay, PTA, has been a PTA for 11 years and has spent the last 3 at the Cantrell Center after making the move to Middle Georgia from Michigan. She and husband, Wesley (whom Jessica refers to as her greatest blessing) have been married for almost 7 years. Together, they have 2 beautiful babies: Reese (4) and Leelan (who is almost 2). Outside of work and family, Jessica and Wesley stay busy as they’re involved in ministry (Jessica is the Children’s Ministry Director and Wesley is the Worship Pastor) and own a DJ and Photo Booth business (High Voltage DJ Services).
When asked why she chose Physical Therapy as a career, she responded, “Physical Therapy has always been my passion, and dream. Ever since I was a little girl, it has always been what I wanted to do with my life. I have to say that my favorite part of being a therapist is treating our kids, and watching them grow, develop and learn. We all learn in different ways, and watching their little brains figure out this crazy thing we call life, is absolutely amazing. I feel so blessed that I get to work with such amazing kids, and help them to develop skills that will carry them through their entire life.”
