Donna Tant led the group in both seated and standing exercises. Donna has a way of transporting people from the room they’re in to an imaginative place where exercise is enjoyable. She had members stick their legs directly in front of them and do flutter kicks as if they were swimming to get away from a shark. Once they made it “to shore”, she had them do a seated jog. Smiles took over the faces in the gym. Donna’s exercise demonstration, with a soundtrack of pop hits from the 50’s & 60’s lasted about 20 minutes—just enough to get the member’s heart rates up, but leave them wanting for more.
The Cantrell Center raffled off a gift basket valued at over $282.00 that included two complimentary one month memberships with full access to our pool and gym facility and classes, plus Cantrell Center merchandise, and other goodies. Jen encouraged the members to stop by the Cantrell Center by passing out 2 free visit postcards. Jen talked a bit about the Cantrell Center’s Annual 5K and passed and a “Save the Date” magnet for the 2020 5K on Saturday, February 29th, 2020.
